This is the largest single-batch Pentagon UAP video release to date, and it tripled the score-66 cluster on this site's rubric from 27 to 77 files. Unlike the Release-01 unresolved-uap-report series (which used generic location-and-date file titles), every PR-series video has a named, descriptive title sourced from the release metadata. What is DOW-UAP-PR
"DOW-UAP-PR" is the U.S. Department of War's Public Release file identifier convention introduced for PURSUE Release 02. The PR050 through PR099 range covers the 51 newly declassified sensor videos in this release - the highest concentration of named, themed UAP sensor footage the Pentagon has ever published to the public domain in one batch.
The earlier Release 01 (May 8) used the DOW-UAP-D## prefix for mission-report documents and the DOW-UAP-VM## prefix for visual media. Release 02 extends the naming convention: the 51 sensor videos went out under the PR (Public Release) prefix, distinguishing this batch from earlier mission-paired captures.

The theme counts above are by shape descriptor in the released file titles (9 name a spherical/orb shape, 4 an over-water/USO encounter, 3 a formation, 1 a cigar/cylinder); the remaining ~34 titles name the sensor platform, mission, callsign, or location rather than a shape. Most PR-series videos share the structural profile that anchors the score-66 cluster: single-sensor military capture, military-personnel witness, no published kinematic measurement, weak mundane-explanation candidate, AARO unresolved disposition. They join the Release-01 unresolved-uap-report videos at the 66-point tier - 77 Pentagon videos in all.
Geographic distribution - and the domestic angle
The geographic breakdown of the PR series differs structurally from the Release-01 unresolved set, which was 22-of-27 CENTCOM. The new PR set is more globally distributed and - critically - includes domestic United States captures, which the Release-01 batch did not have at this scale.

The presence of NORTHCOM and Southeastern-United-States files is the most newsworthy structural feature of the PR series. Spherical / orb-shaped UAP (9 files)
Multiple PR-series titles use the descriptor "spherical UAP" - a shape category that has been a recurring theme in U.S. military UAP reporting since the early 2020s. Notable examples in this batch:

USO / water-related encounters (4 files)
The PR series introduces explicit "USO" (Unidentified Submerged Object) language in titles - a category that has been historically reported but not formally named in U.S. military releases until now.

Multi-UAP formations
A handful of PR-series titles explicitly describe more than one object - PR050's "4 UAP Formation," PR073's "Several Unidentified Aerial [vehicles]," and PR098's "UFOs in formation over Persian Gulf." The released titles and the shared release blurb do not give object counts for most of the 51 files, so we do not assert a series-wide formation total; the cases below are the ones the titles name explicitly.

Specific kinematic and shape descriptors
Several PR-series titles include explicit kinematic or shape descriptors that the Release-01 batch did not feature prominently:
PR051 · SYRIA "Syrian UAP instant acceleration"The title's "instant acceleration" descriptor is one of the few overt kinematic-anomaly cues in any PURSUE release file title. Whether the released file metadata supports the "instant" characterization with specific numerical measurements is a question this site cannot answer without viewing the file's full released summary; the title is the metadata-as-released.
PR053 · 15 OCT 2022 "Cigar Shaped or Fast Sherical UAP clip 15 OCT 22"The title preserves the observer's uncertainty between two shape interpretations (cigar-shaped vs spherical) - a useful honesty signal in a release metadata system that often elides interpretive ambiguity. Note: "Sherical" in the release title appears to be a typographic variant of "Spherical" - reproduced here as published.
The PR072 outlier at score 68
One file in the PR range stands apart from the rest of the cluster: DOW-UAP-PR072 scores 68 - two points higher than the 50-file 66 cluster the PR series otherwise anchors. The released file title is "Administrative Revision, IIR 1777 J0032 22, Kazakhstan, UAP in the Vi..." (the title is truncated in the public release metadata). This is described as an administrative revision of an earlier IIR (Intelligence Information Report) numbered 1777 J0032 22, concerning a UAP event in Kazakhstan, and the higher score reflects the document-revision context rather than the underlying observation.
How the PR series changes the broader archive
Three things to note about how Release 02 changes the structure of the PURSUE archive:
- The score-66 cluster tripled from 27 to 77 files. The site's existing AARO Unresolved UAP deep dive covers the original 27 in detail; this page covers the 50 newcomers (plus PR072 at 68).
- The Pentagon UAP video corpus expanded from 28 files in Release 01 (DVIDS-hosted sensor videos) to 78 total after Release 02. Pentagon UAP video is now the dominant content type in the disclosure.
- The domestic angle appears for the first time at scale: NORTHCOM coverage and Southeastern-United-States captures introduce U.S. continental airspace UAP into the disclosed Pentagon record, which had previously been overwhelmingly overseas-military-deployment-context captures.
What the PR series does NOT establish
- It does not establish that any of the 51 PR-series objects were extraterrestrial. The released titles are descriptive of what sensors recorded, not interpretive of what the recorded objects were.
- The "instant acceleration" descriptor in PR051's title is not a kinematic measurement. The rubric scores this and every file in the PURSUE archive at
kinematic_anomaly: no_kinematic_databecause the released metadata does not include kinematic-grade telemetry. - The "spherical" / "cigar-shaped" / "USO" descriptors are shape-classification language from the observers and the release metadata, not engineering or compositional claims about the objects.
- The NORTHCOM and Southeastern-US captures do not establish that domestic UAP encounters have been more numerous historically; they establish that this release documented these incidents publicly, which the earlier release did not.
