Contact
The site is operated by one person. There is no support team. There is no PR firm. A real human reads every message, and most get a reply within a day or two. The right channel depends on what you need.
For corrections, factual errors, methodology pushback
If you have spotted a wrong score, a misread of the war.gov CSV, a broken SHA-256 hash, or you want to argue with a specific component of the Anomalousness Index, this is the right channel. Verified corrections are added to the relevant page with a dated entry (see /revisions for the standard). Please include the page URL and the specific claim you are contesting.
For bug reports, code questions, feature requests
The full source of the site, including the Python pipeline, the scoring rubric, the auto-poller GitHub Action, and the deployment config, is open at this repository. If you have found a bug, want to suggest a feature, or want to contribute, this is the right channel.
For journalists and press
Background on the project, the scoring methodology, and what every page on the site is for. Available on request: row-by-row diffs of any war.gov revision, commit hashes from the auto-poller log, and detailed methodology walkthroughs. For interviews or quotes, email the address above with deadline + outlet so the response can be prioritized.
For takedown notices, DMCA, copyright
Files mirrored from war.gov are works of the U.S. Government in the public domain under 17 U.S.C. ยง 105 and are not copyrightable. If you believe other content on the site infringes a right you hold, please include the URL, the specific claim, and the legal basis. See /privacy section 10 for the full policy.
For tips, leaks, source material
If you have material that you believe should be in PURSUE but is not, or you believe war.gov has incorrectly classified something, send a description first via email. Do not attach sensitive documents to Gmail. If the lead has substance, secure-channel transfer can be arranged.
Response time
This is a one-person operation. Most messages get a reply within 24-48 hours on weekdays. Corrections to factual claims on the site are highest priority and usually fixed within the same day. General praise or "keep up the work" notes get read but may not get an individual reply. No offense intended.
